2019 Canadian Tulip Festival will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday May 10 and ends on Monday May 20
A hop-on-hop-off shuttle will run between the 3 main Tulip Festival sites – Commissioners Park, Lansdowne Park, and the ByWard market – on weekends. The shuttle will run a regular 30 minute schedule for the duration of the festival.
COMMISSIONERS PARK – “THE TULIP GARDEN EXPERIENCE”
Spend some time in the tulips and enjoy live musical entertainment; watch artists at work among the tulip beds at Commissioners Park, Dow’s Lake; take in a 1-KM explosion of over 250,000 show-stopping mass-planted tulip beds including the Queen Juliana Gift Bed and the World Friendship Tulips, the official tulip of the 2018 Festival. Interpretive signage and guided tours offer an opportunity to learn about tulips and the Capital’s flagship tulip festival
Tulip Legacy Walking Tour of Commissioners Park (30 min)
Our guide welcomes your group to tour the Royal Gift Tulip Bed, the Tulip Legacy Plaza and provides an overview of our Canadian tulip heritage, as well as, our Tulip Legacy Story. Explore the tulip gardens and enjoy the vibrant surroundings. Includes a 2018 Canadian Tulip Festival souvenir and 20% off voucher for the boutique.
*Public Parking – A special parking lot at Queen Juliana Park (off of Queen Elizabeth South of Preston Street) is available for a flat rate of $15.

Art and floral exhibitions and installations, international friendship activities and entertainment, craft market, tulip art celebrations, interactive family programming, Tulip Café, World Garden of Giant Tulips, World Tulip Maze and much more.

Local vendors will be featured to provide a unique dining experience each day from 12pm to 2pm. On the Tulip Café stage there will be continuous live musical entertainment as well as floral and craft demonstrations.
BYWARD MARKET – “THE URBAN TULIP EXPERIENCE”

The historic ByWard Market is Ottawa’s premier destination for shopping, dining, arts and entertainment. This is the heart of Ottawa! Within an area roughly four blocks square, you’ll find museums, cafés, specialty food shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, pubs, and more.
Featured artist, Monique Martin, creator of the Festival’s A World of Tulips 2018 Art icon, brings her tulip art to this city central marketplace with art installations throughout the Historic ByWard Market – including interactive, artist-led creative workshops, animation throughout the streets and courtyards, and a host of merchant promotions throughout the neighbourhood.
Together with the City of Ottawa, the ByWard Market BIA and many amazing local businesses, we are proud to be transforming Canada’s oldest market into a colourful urban tulip garden filled with fun animations, special offers and tons of awesome photo opportunities! Discover the tulip charms of the ByWard Market by tiptoeing through the tulips and experiencing tulip art of Monique Morin. Tour concludes at Moulin de Provence for an Official Tulip Festival cookie.
TULIPS ON THE GARDEN PROMENADE – “THE CITY TULIP EXPERIENCE”
The Garden Promenade celebrates Ottawa and Gatineau’s garden culture with over 70 experiences through 40 of the region’s most beautiful must-visit gardens.
