Meals-on-Wheels Baskets for the Home Bound

Rosie Woods and the late Martine Buissart have made up beautiful floral arrangements each Easter and Thanksgiving for the Community Services/Meals-on-Wheels Program.  These arrangements are delivered with the weekly meal closest to these dates to those clients who are home bound and have difficulty getting out of their homes.  We have received many compliments and expressions of gratitude from both Community Services and those who receive these treats and we hope to continue to do this for many years to come. Sadly, due to the pandemic last year, we were unable to do this, but we hope to be able to do this again in the near future.

This is just a small way that we as a Garden Club can give back to our community and remember those who are less fortunate than us.

Easter March 28, 2018

Hi All, here is a pic of the 10 plants and decor that the club will donate this year for Easter to 10 of the Northbrook Community Services meals on wheels recipients. I purchased them in Napanee yesterday and will deliver them to Northbrook tomorrow. The meals on wheels drivers will deliver them with the meals on Thursday.
