The Land O’ Lakes Garden Club is now in its 16th year as a member of District 3 of the Ontario Horticultural Association. This is a huge achievement for a community as small as ours and shows the dedication and commitment of our members who support the Club and the programs we have instituted over the years.
We started very small with 12 people attending the first meeting, but this quickly grew and we now have a very active membership of almost 100, including many summer visitors.
We meet at the Barrie Community Hall in Cloyne on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm from April to November. Be sure to check this website for speaker information.
From the beginning, our community involvement has been significant and we continue to maintain 2 Community Hall Gardens, the Gardens at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home, the Cloyne Pioneer Cemetery and the 34 Planter Boxes in the area. We have also set up a new Commemorative Indigenous Medicine Wheel Garden at Benny’s Park in Cloyne – take a look at the page we have set up for this for more information.
