Benny’s Lake Heritage Park

Benny’s Lake Heritage Park

Land O’ Lakes Garden Club received this certificate for our participation in the Heritage Park project to recognize Canada’s 150th birthday.

Our club designed and painted the wildflower emblems for the 10 provinces and 3 territories .

These beautiful paintings have been installed on the exterior of the Cloyne Pioneer Museum and they greatly enhance the visitor experience.

Our club also facilitated the completion of a metal bench for visitors to enjoy while walking along the winding pathway that takes you through the new tree plantings. This Park project was designed to be appreciated now and in the future when the tree plantings are more mature. Educational information is posted throughout the park to inform visitors of the kinds of trees growing in this area and also the cultural influences that have been here for generations.

We greatly appreciate the support that has been received from Hastings-Lennox and Addington.

We are also grateful to North Frontenac Township who has contributed money for the park.
