The 2025 Parade
The Theme for the 2025 Santa Claus Parade was Christmas Movies and our movie was “Feather Christmas” and we dressed up as Spring Chickens! Our sign read something like “While we are no Spring Chickens, we still like to garden and we hope some young chicks will join us”! We gave out mini chocolate eggs and fried egg gummies – what else would chickens give out? WE WON FIRST PRIZE!!
The 2024 Parade
The Theme of the 2024 Santa Claus Parade was Christmas songs and we chose “O Christmas Tree” for ours. We had members decorate their green costumes as Christmas Trees. We had some great tree creativity and because it was an evening parade, our tree costumes sparkled! WE WON SECOND PRIZE!!
The 2023 Parade
The Elves got together again for the 2023 Lions Santa Clause Night Time Parade and our theme was “Flower Power” – very apropos for a Garden Club! We dressed up as hippies, had a magnificent float with our favorite princess on her sparkling throne and we even had an add-on – a festively decorated lawnmower! We handed out candy to the kids and gave corsages that we had made to Pine Meadow, so they could give them to their residents, their families and the staff.
