The Four Seasons (Vivaldi).
The Four Seasons (Italian: Le quattro stagioni) is a group of four violinconcerti by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi, each of which gives a musical expression to a season of the year. The music starts with Winter…
Come when the rains
Have glazed the snow and clothes the trees with ice,
While the slant sun of February pours
Into the bowers a flood of light.

View of lemon and orange trees loaded with fruit in the town of Sintra near the west coast of Portugal.
I believe this is a buddleia nano blue. I took this photo in the garden at Monserrat, a beautifully restored summer home in the hills outside of Sintra. Loved the deep blue with the terra cotta colour of the archway.
Spring is amazingly early here this year apparently. This very large magnolia is just coming into full bloom. I took the photo, overlooking the National Palace in Sintra, from Quinta de Regelaria.
This is a snapdragon that has taken root in a rock wall in Sintra. Many plants here are out early because of the unseasonably warm weather.
This painting was in the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon. A different angle on garden flowers. This was painted by Henri Latour 1885 in France. Some wonderful paintings by Monet, Manet, Turner, Rubens, Gainsborough to name a few.
